The Lee Plaza Hotel/Apartments was built during Detroit’s 1920s building boom and is located on West Grand Blvd. The art-deco luxury building was converted to senior apartments in 1968. The building closed permanently in 1997. In 2019 it came close to being purchased and renovated, but the funding fell through. Hope still exists for this building to come back.
